Midweek Motivation: Hit What You Aim For

Hit What You Aim For

Before you think this is some boxing related post, relax; it’s not. It’s also not even about bowling, golf, shooting, archery, basketball, or any sport/activity where taking aim is important. Instead, this is about goals! That’s right – goals! The problem with many people is we don’t realistically set goals. And for those of use that do, we do it in January or maybe even December of the previous year, then we never look at them again until we realize we’re not on target to hit them.

Tips to Stay Zero’d In On Success

1. Write SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timed)

2. Read your Goals Daily

3. Share Them With An Accountability Partner

How can we expect to successfully achieve a goal that’s not in the forefront of our thoughts? Think about it, can you confidently say you can hit something without aiming for it? You might be able to, but it would be luck and good fortune. And don’t even think about duplicating it. That would be virtually impossible. No business or business person, no team or player, no ministry or servant leader can win off luck. Instead, we must use our gifts and talents, combined with focus and hard work, to win!

As 2015 surely is moving along, check your goals, and ask yourself are you aiming in the right direction?
